Medicine in Motion is a private sports medicine clinic developed to help you investigate and treat medical and orthopedic problems that may affect your performance in sport or physical activity regardless of your level of ability.


Right now, Medicine in Motion has been set up as an online clinic and you can contact us regardless of where you live in Sweden and we try to flexible with our scheduling.


In the future, we plan to start up a clinic were we can carry out necessary examinations and on-site investigations.

Main Services

Here you can book an appointment for an assessment video call with a Sports Physician.

 For those who have already been in contact with the clinic you can book a follow-up video meeting, telephone contact or renew a prescription.

Digital Visit

Digital Sports Medicine doctor assessment.

Can be used for booking against all ailments.


Video visit: SEK 600.

Additional costs, e.g. sampling, referrals may occur.

For those of you who have previously received treatment and a prescription from us, you can request a new prescription here. If you need to discuss treatment, please book a phone appointment instead. No prescriptions are renewed from other clinics.

Package

Certain ailments are common in sports people and many of these problems can be guided via a digital visit. Then we have developed some packages that you can choose for individual conditions. If a physical visit is required, this can be discussed/planned.

Iron check

Iron deficiency (with or is the most common deficiency in athletes.


We help you check your levels and help with treatment when needed.


Price: SEK 300

Breathing problems

Breathing problems e.g. exercise-induced asthma often occurs in athletes.


You can contact us to book this package to discuss breathing problems, guidance of investigation, treatment and evaluation of effect over a 6 month period. Doctor's visit, follow-up and prescription renewal are included in the package.


Spirometry and Allergy investigation not included.


Price: SEK 1500

Impaired Performance

Many athletes experience periods where training and competitions do not go as expected. This can happen due to many different reasons.


Here you can contact us to be able to book more extensive sampling aimed at this and ffa against overtraining and RED S.


Medical contact within a 3-month period is included.


Price: SEK 2,000


Certain assessments and assignments must take place on site, and below are two packages that can be suggested to take place at the training site or by other agreement.

Concussion

Some athletes have an increased risk of concussion, including martial arts, hockey, rugby, American football, equestrian sports, etc.


Here you or your team can contact us to book baseline testing or assessment after an injury has occurred.


Applies only to the Stockholm area at the moment.


Baseline test: SEK 500 per test.

Concussion assessment: SEK 1,000.

Travel allowance: SEK 250

Competition doctor

Some competitions may need a doctor on site or available. You can contact us if you need such an assignment.


In addition to this, you can contact us if you want to advise on medical preparations for competitions/climbing camps.

About me

TRAINING

Trained as a doctor at the University of Glasgow plus a Bachelors of Sports & Exercise Medicine.


Masters in Public Health Science from Stockholm University.


Ongoing Diploma in Sports Medicine via the International Olympic Committee.

WORKING LIFE

Became Specialist in General Medicine in 2020 and has worked in Stockholm and Dalarna ffa.


From April 2021 to July 2024 worked at Capio Sports Center (former GHP Sports Center) where they dealt with many ailments that affect sports life.


July 2024 - started developing Medicine In Motion Sports Clinic.

SPORTS LIFE

Former 400/800m runner. Former Northern Ireland 800m champion (2008) and 3rd place in Scotland.


Nowadays everything from 3000m to half marathons is run with FK Students.




BACKGROUND

Originally from Northern Ireland, moved to Scotland in 2004 where I studied and participated in athletics.


In 2012, I moved to Sweden to be able to study further. At the same time, I learned Swedish and continued with my medical career here.


LOCATION

Right now, Medicine in Motion is available online, but in exceptional cases we can organize a physical visit, e.g. at training sites if necessary.


The goal in 2025 is to be able to start with physical reception visits.
